10th Old Boys 0 : 2 Comber
Rec III's
League
06th October 2007
Comber made the short trip to Carryduff to
play 10th old boys in a league match. After
beating the 10th earlier in the season the 3rds
were hoping to gain another 3pts. The 10th were
a completely different team from 4 weeks previous
but the boys stuck to the task and came away
with a well deserved win. Gary Bennett could
even afford the luxury of missing a penalty
kick, such was the 3rds domination. The first
goal came from a great cross by Shane Andrews
which was met by a defender who gave his keeper
no chance. The second was scored by Danny Gabbey
after good work from Davy John Boal. The boys
should have scored more but the woodwork was
in the way on two occasions. All in all a solid
performance
