Following our hugely disappointing game against Crumlin Star our league match with Drumaness Mills was an opportunity to get back on Track.

Missing from our recent squad was Neil Magowan so we decided to withdraw Ross Hagan from his midfield role; bring JimMcCloskey into the middle with Craig Bowers coming in on the left of midfield. Kevin Monson slipped back into right midfield and Craig McCracken and Gordon Leckey, our top goal scorers, combining as our main attackers.

I was pleased with the way we played in the first half against a strong wind which was right into our faces. Ironically, I was disappointed that at 3-1 up we didn’t kill off the game by scoring a fourth with one of our many chances we manufactured. We then conceded a cheap goal and had to battle to conserve the three points. Anyway, well done to the players for showing character and well done to those who endured the wet and windy conditions; it was a lot better than mallusk.
Last week three of our players were invited to join the Amateur League squad who play Scotland in May. The "Comber Three" were Jim McCloskey, Ross Hagan, and Gareth Larmour. Congratulations to those lads but I have to say several others could just as easily been selected.

The One Stop Mortgage Shop Player of the Month for February was this time chosen by the players rather than the management team and the winner was Gareth Larmour. Well done Lazer Larmour!

Looking forward to seeing you at Park Way on Saturday for our important league game against Malachians.
