Played on a perfect Park Way surface Comber took on Carnmoney Colts for the second time this season. The Rec started brightly, but some desperate defending and a stubborn Colts goalkeeper kept them out for the opening twenty minutes. To the Rec's credit they continued to play controlled football showing no signs of panic or frustration and eventually the opening goal arrived. Chris Curran-Cochrane finishing of an Alex Malcolm-Bourne through ball. Ryan Irwin made it two nil six minutes from the break, finishing after some good work from Connor Pinons.
Four minutes into the second half and Stuart Hanna set up Connor to make it 3-0. It was all one way traffic and as Carnmoney head dropped Alex scored the goal of the game, picking his spot, he placed the ball high into the top corner. Justin Childs then got onto the score sheet for the first time this season, driving home with his left foot from just inside the box. Substitute Dean Wylie finished of the goal scoring with a typical striker’s goal, pouncing on a loose ball and finishing with a deadly strike.
