For the second time this season Comber made the trip to Sixmile Water to face Templepatrick. Played on a difficult pitch Comber fell behind early in the first-half when Templepatrick's playmaker “Nemo” dispossessed a Rec player and broke clear to hammer in the opening goal. The second Templepatrick goal arrived soon after and from this point it looked an uphill task. The game then levelled out and both teams had chances, however it was Templepatrick that would get the vital goal when they scored their third just before the break.
To their credit Comber lifted their game in the second period and should have scored when Alex Malcom-Bourne set up Chris Curran-Cochrane. A stonewall penalty decision then went against Comber, a clear-cut handball was missed by the otherwise excellent referee. It was clearly "one of those days”. With time running out Comber got a consolation goal when Conor Pinnons hammered home from just inside the box.
