Andrew
Topping - An impressive
goalkeeper, a complete natural between the
sticks. Good shot stopper and brave when
leaving his line. |
 |
Jordan
Finney - Has flourished
since moving to right back - very consistent,
committed tackler. Often on the receiving
end of changing room banter for supporting
a certain Irish League team. |
 |
Adam
Beattie - Fully committed
to every tackle, has pace to burn. Has adapted
easily to the left back position. |
 |
Lee
Brown - Has developed
into a first class defender, steady, strong,
with a great reading of the game. Won last
season’s "Most Improved Player"
award. |
 |
Justin
Childs - Hard tackling
center back and mid-fielder when required.
Has the ability to use both feet. |
 |
Andrew
Gibson - A product
of last season’s Under 13 squad –
underestimate him at your peril - quiet,
unassuming but rarely comes out of a tackle
without the ball. |
 |
Connor
Pinons - Joined the
squad this season from Ards Youth. Has a
tremendous left foot and the ability to
score from midfield. |
 |
Ryan
Irwin - "Doddsy"
cleaned up at last season’s awards
- Players’ Player and Managers’
Player of the Year. Both awards fully deserved
and a measure of his ability. |
 |
Alex
Malcolm-Bourne - Back
with the squad after a spell last season
with Linfield. An amazing all round talent,
a key player. powerful, hardworking midfielder
yet graceful on the ball. |
 |
Matthew
Crooks - First full
season with the Under 15's after a successful
season with the U.13 squad. A fully committed
no nonsense midfielder. A ‘handful’
for opposing teams. |
 |
Chris
Curran-Cochrane - Left
footed winger with blistering pace. Has
the ability to play as main striker. Nephew
of ex-Northern Ireland and Burnley star
Terry Cochrane. |
 |
Stuart
Hanna - A gifted player
and a natural on the right wing. Beats players
with ease. Has scored some spectacular goals. |
 |
Dean
Wylie - Last season’s
under 13's top goal scorer - already found
the net this term. Will gain valuable experience
this season. |
 |
Andrew
Montgomery - Young
"Monty" is always prepared to
get in where it hurts – enthusiastic
and works hard in training.
|
 |
Jason
Rutherford - Into
his second season with the team. Made
his full debut this season and a number
of appearances as a sub.
|
 |
Robert
Bowman - Has been with
the squad for two seasons; has a good eye
for goal - been unlucky with injuries this
year. |
 |
Andy
Bell - Has joined
the club after a spell with Dungoyne. Versatile
player with a good attitude to training. |
| |
Stewart
Leitch - Back with
the club after spells with Ards Youth
and Linfield. An Impressive striker, great
touch and lighting fast.
|
Linda
Finney - An important
member of the transport and catering team
, showed great commitment early in the
season when Jordan was injured.
Pamela
Topping - Very popular
with the coaching staff and players (especially
since she drives a people carrier and
has always a good supply of Jaffa Cakes)
Irene
Beattie - Dropped
down in size this season, starting to
show more confidence, especially on long
runs.

For the 2007/2008 season the Under 15’s
squad exists of 20 players, 5 moving up from
last season’s Under 13's, and 2 coming
in from other clubs.
This season has seen a number of lads commence
training with the Thirds; indeed a number have
made their debut at this level. A sure sign
of progress being made and an indication of
the excellent structure that exists within the
senior club.
