Under 13s Match Report

Carnmoney vs Comber Rec


Comber thrashed Carnomey 9 - 1 on Saturday at 3 Mile water to win their second game of the season.  Comber went ahead very early in the game as Sam Manley scored 2. Combers Captain Conor Black made it 3 soon after from the penalty spot after Gattis Kalkerts was fouled in the area after a very good run from midfield.  Just before the half time break Comber went 4 up, an own goal was scored by a Carnmoney player after a kick back to his keeper bounced over him and into the net.
Comber were 4 - 0 up at the break but could have been much more as the Comber attackers missed several chances and found themselves caught offside on several occasions.
 
2ND HALF
 
2 mins into the 2nd half Ben Davidson scored to make the score 5 - 0, he found himself in the right place after Sam Manleys powerful shot was plamed out by the keeper and Ben volleyed it in.  Manley scored again to finish of his second hatrick in 2 games.  Johnny Burgess got on the score sheet after  his cross from the right flew over the keepers head and found the back of the net.  Carnmoney got a goal back late in the 2nd half after Karl Johnson tried to clear from a corner with his head but managed to beat his own keeper.  Another 2 Comber goals made it 9 - 1 with a great strike from Lex Walker which found the roof of the net and a second for Ben Davidson, a cool finish from inside the box into the bottom corner.
 
This was another great display of attacking football from the Under 13's, making it 17 goals in just 2 games.
 
It was a joint Man of The Match this week, Sam Manley and midfielder Gattis Kalkerts.
