Comber started the game very brightly against a good Carrick team who were 3rd in the league. The home side were without a couple of their main defenders due to school commitments.

Comber had a couple of early chances to score, but it was Carrick who took the lead when a corner wasn't defended properly and the Carrick boys hit a great shot past Manley. Carrick went two up when they hit a brilliant free kick into the top corner.

Halftime came and Comber made a couple of changes, putting Manley up front alongside Wilson to look for a goal. It eventually came when Bailey Quinn glanced in a great Whiteside corner to make it 2 - 1. That was Combers' 1st goal direct from a corner all season.

With Comber pushing forward for the equaliser, Carrick hit their 3rd when they quickly broke down the left wing and slotted home.

Again praise must go to Comber for a great performance against one of the leagues top sides. Both Black and Manley had great games, but it was Childs who got MOM after a commited and hard working performance.

Any chance of a win lads? as the managers job is now in doubt!!
